Mustangs finish 11th in final regular-season tournament
Holt, Roberts pace NACC's third-round effort
The Northeast Alabama Community College men's golf team closed out the regular season Tuesday with an 11th-place finish in the Calhoun Men's Golf Spring Classic.
The two-day, three-round tournament was held at Burningtree Golf Club in Decatur.
Braden Holt and Ethan Roberts led the Mustangs' third-round effort.
Holt shot a 4-over par 76 in his final round, capping a strong tournament for the freshman that saw him shoot a 2-over par 74 in Round 1 and a 3-over par 75 in Round 2. In Tuesday's final round, Holt totaled eight pars and three birdies on his way to a 23rd-place finish in the individual standings with a three-round score of 9-over par.
Roberts closed the tournament with a 5-over par 77, finishing 35th with a three-round 14-over par. The sophomore's third-round totals included 10 pars and three birdies.
Sophomore Reed Potter and freshman Reece McClintok both shot 12-over par in Round 3 for NACC while sophomore Greyson Widgeon shot 13-over par.
Next up for the Mustangs is the 2026 Alabama Community College Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament, slated for Monday and Tuesday (April 6-7) at Cypress Lakes Golf Club in Muscle Shoals.
