NACC’s Hatch, Hindmon named Gold Glove Award recipients
Sophomores recognized as the top fielder at their position in NJCAA Division I Softball
Two members of the national champion Northeast Alabama Community College softball team have been recognized for their efforts with their gloves during the 2026 season.
Sophomore left fielder Chloe Hatch and sophomore first baseman Emma Hindmon have been selected as National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Softball Gold Glove Award recipients.
The awards, presented by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, honor the nation's top fielder at each defensive position.
Hatch and Hindmon are the first Gold Glove recipients in the NACC Softball program's two-year history.
"I am very proud of Emma and Chloe," said NACC head coach Joe Guthrie. "Both have worked extremely hard to get where they are. They earned this recognition."
Hindmon and Hatch both played key roles in the field during NACC's historic season, helping the Mustangs post a 56-4 record, win the Alabama Community College Conference regular season and tournament championships, win the NJCAA Region 22 title and the NJCAA Division I Softball national championship.
Hatch did not commit an error this season, recording 56 putouts and two assists in 58 total defensive chances.
Hindmon posted a .993 fielding percentage, committing only two errors in 295 total chances. She finished with 288 putouts and five assists.
Both players also delivered results for the NACC in the batter's box.
