NACC’s Edwards named ACCC DI Pitcher of the Week for second straight week
Freshman right-hander went 3-0 with one save in four appearances
Addie Edwards' strong work in the pitching circle for the Northeast Alabama Community College softball team continues to be noticed across the state.
The NACC freshman has been named the Alabama Community College Conference Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week.
During the week of Feb. 9-15, Edwards posted a 3-0 record while also recording a save for the Mustangs. The right-hander from Chatsworth, Georgia pitched 20 innings over four appearances last week, totaling 20 strikeouts while allowing just three runs (two earned) on 12 hits and two walks.
For the season, Edwards is 6-0 with one save with five complete games and four shutouts. She has a 0.40 ERA, opponents are batting just .175 against her and has 40 strikeouts compared to only three walks over 35 innings pitched.
