Freshman forward Adam Shumate sparked the Mustangs' offense with two first-half goals, both assisted by Bladimir Cervantes, to erase an early deficit and give NACC control of the match. Alexis Vega added another goal before halftime to extend the lead to 3–1, though Oxford pulled one back just before the break.
The Mustangs struck again in the second half as Jonathan Jacobs and Junior Duarte each found the back of the net, with assists coming from Vega and Ouzeiph Toumiba. Despite a late push from Oxford, highlighted by a third goal from Zachary Seneriz, the Mustangs held firm to secure the 5–3 victory.
Cervantes was a standout playmaker for NACC, tallying three assists on the night, while goalkeeper Jonathan Martinez anchored the defense with six saves.
The win marks a milestone moment for the Mustangs in their inaugural season, giving the program its first taste of victory.
